Trailer, theatrical release coincide for 'In the Arms of the Tree'

The official trailer for the new Iranian movie 'In the Arms of the Tree' has been released alongside its theatrical premiere in Iran.

Babak Khajeh Pasha's first feature film hit the silver screen on Wednesday, August 7. 

The movie received nominations in 7 categories at the 41st Fajr Film Festival and won the Crystal Simorgh for Best Screenplay.

The story of the flick centers on Kimia and Farid, a married couple whose complicated life crisis disrupts their children's world.

The film's tagline suggests it deals with children who only know simplicity and kindness in life.

The trailer was designed by Omid Mirzaei.

'In the Arms of the Tree' is a collaboration between two prominent Iranian institutions, the Soureh Cinema Organization and the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults.

The cast includes Javad Ghamati, Maral Bani Adam, Rouhollah Zamani, Ahoura Lotfi, and Ryan Lotfi.

Bahman Sabz Institute distributes the film.
